Techopedia Explains Customer Gateway

Companies such as Amazon and the U.S. Postal Service offer their own types of customer gateways. Amazon defines customer gateway as “an anchor on (the customer’s) side of the connection,” which can be either a physical or a software setup. Amazon contrasts this with a virtual private gateway on the Amazon site of the setup. By contrast, the U.S. Postal Service customer gateway is more of a visual interface where customers can select services. A business customer gateway is a resource for customers that allows the provider to better serve its clientele.
