C2 security is one of several security rating levels for government and military computing products. It is primarily a C1 security enhancement that provides controlled access protection through additional security features in the login procedures. The audit trail of each user that logs into the system must be saved and retrieved when required. Moreover, C2 security also requires the protection of memory content, specifically after a process releases it, as well as in instances of exploitation and/or tampering of disk data.
