What Does BitComet Mean?

BitComet is a freeware cross-protocol BitTorrent, HTTP and FTP client written in C++ for Microsoft Windows. It includes a multithreaded multiprotocol hybrid download manager and a BitTorrent peer-to-peer file sharing application.

BitComet draws file parts from multiple sources across different client server protocols to complete downloads. It supports simultaneous downloads, download queues, chatting, disk cache, speed limits, proxy, and port mapping.

BitComet is available in 52 different languages. It has the following main features:

Bandwidth scheduling.
Univeral plug and play gateway configuration.
Option to prioritize first and last portions of media files.
